1998 Las Vegas Bowl Champs!

Carolina 20 - San Diego State 13

Ron Curry!  Ron Curry!  Ron Curry!  the Ram Man was heard saying during our first game this year.... "the future is now!"  Yes, it's a team sport, but Ron won this game for Carolina.  Please stay 4 years!

How 'bout them Heels!  After a slow start, the Heels came back strong.  We knew the Aztecs were no match for you.  It was fun to see you play around with them.  Man, you guys put the heat on their little QB... what's his name!

    the Ram Man's Favorite Highlights:

      1st Quarter:
Ron Curry dances 48 yards into the end zone untouched.  OK, so he got a penalty.  Who cares?!  The future is now!

The defense, in general, dominated the Aztecs, and hurt 'em bad.

      2nd Quarter:
SDSU tries to punt.  Quinton Savage gets the block; David Bomar gets the touchdown!  Way to go, Special Teams!

Hey, Brian Schmidt!  Where did you learn how to punt 66 yards into the wind?  What a kick!

Score at the Half:  Carolina 20 - SDSU 10

      3rd Quarter:
After our D made some costly mistakes, SDSU's Tandberg missed his field goal attempt.  Whew!

      4th Quarter:
Ron Curry breaks away for a 25 yard run.  What a work of art!  Then Na Brown says hello and tackles him.  Come on Na, Ron's on our side.

Pompons blowing across the field...  A look at the sand blowing into the stadium...  I predicted 31 - 24.  The wind definitely had something to do with the ability to score.  The line was 7.  Nuf' said....

      Final Score:  Carolina 20 - SDSU 13

the Ram Man's Co-MVP:  Ron Curry and Brian Schmidt
