College Park: the Road Trip

the Ram Car

On the Road _ It's that time of year! And the Ram Car is ready.

The plans are to leave Raleigh around 2:30 and meet friends at the Hwy 64 and I-95 intersection. From there we head north. Destination: Turtle Territory. We hope to arrive and set up camp by 8:00 tonight.

If we have time on the road, I'll snap a few pictures and upload during our trip. When we arrive and set up camp, I'll upload some pictures too.

We're calling it the Carolina Fan Caravan. I think it would be great fun if more people would join us. This is my concept as posted on the Tar Pit message board. Hope to see you in College Park.

Go Heels! Beat the Turtles!

OK, we arrived at the rest stop on I-95 by 4:30 today. Robbie and crew joined us, then we headed north to Turtle Territory. A pit stop took longer than we wanted, so didn't arrive at the Maryland campus until almost 10:30.

While we were looking for a place to park the RV's in Lot 1D, we saw a Jeep Cherokee drive up with a Carolina blue flag. Thanks for greeting us there, Jersey_Heel. It was great to meet you and see a friendly face. The Ram Car took a rock on the side driving through campus. He laughed and said, "Alrightie then... battle scar!"
