Carolina Front Four
Carolina Front Four
must stuff the run!

Raleigh__  Why hasn't the Ram Man published anything this week?  I suffered a break-in and robbery at my home this past Monday.  It's been a hectic week to say the least.  I'm deeply indebted to Nicole at IBM for getting a replacement ThinkPad shipped so quickly.  CarolinaFan Web Cam will be up and running before and after the game tomorrow.

Now to the prediction and this is quick and dirty.  But the bottom line is that our defensive front four must come to play.  Like my coaches used to tell me, they must be 'agile, mobile and hostile'.  SMU can run the ball similar to Wake Forest and Georgia Tech.  We know what happened in those games.  If Pep and Simms don't have a good game in the SMU back field, we may be in for a long and uncomfortable game.  This is the key  Nuf' said.

Of course all the Heels need to play well.  Time of possession is always important.  I don't see our offense having much of a problem getting yards and points.  But I'd love to see David Thornton go out with a banner game.  And there is one more factor.

This is a must win game to be bowl eligible.  Heels win, we bowl in Atlanta.  If we lose, we may not even be invited to a game of marbles.  There is some pressure.  That's where the CarolinaFans come in.  We need a good crowd.  We need a large number of participating fans raising hell in the stands.  I say it all comes together for our final regular season game.  We will be loud.  The Heels will be motivated and playing sharp.  I say, Carolina 37 - SMU 10.  Thanks to the Beast, tickets are cheaper than a movie for this game.  It's the hottest ticket in the Triangle this weekend.  See you at the game!

Go Heels!
