Raleigh, NC __
Hello Tar Heel Nation! I'm baackkk"! And I owe it all
to fellow Carolina fans. This past week has been very
interesting. Thank you very much!
Come by Sec 122 Row QQ
say hello to the Ram Man
I've had telephone
calls and e-mails from a former player who started the ball
rolling. And that included finding me free tickets, which just
arrived in the mail. Thank you Bill Span ' 77 and Tommy from Charlotte. Once
again I will be a voice for the Heels. But it
didn't stop there. I was getting a few e-mails from visitors to my
site. And last and certainly not least, I was called by some
tailgate buddies.
The bottom line is
that people wanted the Ram Man at the game and in the crowd. I
have been overwhelmed and could not turn them down. No, I still
haven't found a new job since my layoff in June. But wealth is
relative, and I feel very wealthy right now... thanks to my Carolina
family.
I've always felt
part of the Carolina family. A recent comment by AD Dick Baddour
makes it official. In the September 2002 issue of Tar Heel
Monthly, he is responding to a question, and includes, "You also
become a Carolina person through your deeds and actions on behalf of the
University and your passion for UNC, not only because you attended
school here".
So what's the
plan? Robbie said, "Just come to the games. You always
do so much. Relax and enjoy". My response was that I'm
a wide open kind of guy, it's all or nothing. I believe in giving
110%, whether tailgating in preparation or cheering in the stands, and
couldn't do any less than I expect from my beloved Tar Heels.
So will we have
some road parties? Mark told me not to worry about the incidental
expenses, and quoted 'He ain't heavy, he's my brother'. I guess
we'll have to look at the situation from week to week this season.
But God willing and with the help from my Carolina family, you may see
the Ram Car blitzing down the highways to the away games too.
Regardless, the CarolinaFan Web Cam for the home game
tailgate parties is
ON! We'll be there early and stay late. Drop by to say hello
and let's get ready for the game! And don't be surprised to see
some former players. Come on down, Space Cowboy!
Some good tailgate
friends from Greensboro, Al and Betsy, once told me I was the life of
the party and it wouldn't be the same without me. Well, I don't
know about all that. But I do know that I've been called
out. And the Ram Man will answer the bell.
