Kick ass, take names... Heels Rule!
Carolina 70 - Weak Forest 69

Raleigh Carolina played their best game of the season while whipping Weak Forest.  And they call WFU #4 in the country?  Pah-lease... give me a break!  We just saw the Heels take care of business.  And the [Deacon] Demons went back to hell... or whatever they call it over in Winston-Salem.

This was power ball from the beginning.  Yes, I pick Haywood as player of the game.  But if I didn't mention Lang and Peppers, somebody should kick my ass.  This game left splinters somewhere, cause Carolina brought the lumber.

Our 1-2-and-sometimes-3 guys were having problems hitting their shots.  But the 4-5 guys just dominated the weaker team - Weak Forest.  Haywood finished with 24 points and 10 boards.  I'd say not too shabby for a guy who had been shut out recently.  This just goes to show you that Carolina can and will bring many weapons... on any given night.

High 5's after Peppers dunk Julius Peppers
is feeling it after the alley-oop slam from Ron Curry
While Lang was a force from the beginning, Peppers brought some well needed spark and strength later in the game.  Early in Curry's bball days, I thought he looked like a linebacker standing on the hardwood.  But his alley-oop pass to Julius Peppers had me jumping up and down, and banging my fists off the ceiling.  the Ram Man gives a hat tip to the football guys on the hardwood.  Hey Ron, give up football or change to slot back.  And give hoops year round effort, so you might meet your potential.  And by the way, Peppers told us tonight that he's staying!  Too bad NFL, watch out FSU.

Did anyone else enjoy looking at Odom's face late in the game?  This was a man who knew his team was "in a fire without a bucket of water" [didn't want to publish the F word].  Or we could just say it's Tobacco Road, and Carolina still rules!  Generally speaking, good ole Dave is a decent coach.  After all his team had not been defeated until tonight.  But then again, his team hadn't played Carolina.  Can anyone say Matt Doherty?

I can...  Matt Doherty!!  My first conversation with Matt was after the Ga. Tech football game this year.  While I was talking with Matt, I said "thank God Roy said no!"  Almost immediately, Matt begin to say "Well, Coach Williams...."  But I cut Matt off, and said "You will be our next legend at Carolina."  Tonight is stuff that makes legends.  Roy would have choked.  Oh yeah, Weak Forest already kicked that Jay Hawk ass all over the court, 84-53.  Hahaha...  So, ya see Matt?  Told ya so! :)

So it goes...  kick ass, take names... Heels rule!  Cause we got Matt, and we are Carolina!
