Matt Doherty Got his first win against the hated Wolf Pack.

Ranked #5 in the nation, the Heels came into a hostile environment today and prevailed.  The Pack gave some fight, but played their normal ugly game.  To their credit, they brought the Heels down to their level.  To their dismay, they lost again.

Yes, the Heels didn't have a great game.  But being the superior team, the Heels overcame the Wolfpuppies' best effort.  And they overcame the newest criminal wearing red - the infamous woman-beater Grundy.  The Pack can beat women, but they still can't beat the Heels.  If you're a CarolinaFan, ya gotta luv it!  But hey, Grundy, just because Bill Clinton can "not have sex" and get away with it doesn't mean a nobody like you can.  Get a life!  [LMAO]

It's hard to pick a player of the game because all the Heels did their job.  But one phase that did stand out was Curry making a free throw late in the game.  Is the monkey truly off his back?  But you had to admire the way he clapped his hands after making that shot.  Having gone 0-fer at the line recently, it was a great moment for him.  It was a great moment for all CarolinaFans.

So in lieu of picking a player of the game, I still think the major difference in this years' team is Matt Doherty.  Carolina's game plan, game in and game out, is to punch it low early and often.  The ugly play of the Puppies made that cumbersome at best.  And to Sendek's credit, he had a descent game plan.  He just doesn't have any players with talent or brains to execute in unison for enough minutes.

Julius Peppers A force to reckon with... watch out Dookies, better eat your granola bars on Wednesday night cause Peppers will kick your asses!

Matt on the other hand has the players, and players who can think and execute.  But more than that, Matt is proving over and over again that he can coach.  With the fouls mounting up on the Heels, Matt used his bench most effectively.  And my main man, Julius Peppers, had a game above his normal output.  I don't know about anyone else, but I think he finally got angry on the hard-wood.  the Ram Man salutes Peppers, the Rock!  Keep it up big guy!

The whole team was in the mix... made valuable contributions.  One immerging characteristic of this team is not getting rattled in close late-game situations.  If I were a Dook fan, I'd be worried.  Both teams are undefeated in the ACC, which sets up a tremendous ambiance for next Thursday night on that little basketball court the Devils call home.  Better get some sleep Wednesday night Dookies, cause the Heels will come calling!

The beat goes on...  kick ass, take names... Heels rule!  Cause we got Matt, and we are Carolina!
