Raleigh _  The Heels are back!  A sleeping giant has truly awakened.  ACC beware.

The team left it all on the court today.  They displayed tremendous hustle and desire.  They are finally playing with heart.

The team chemistry, which has been somewhat lacking, is greatly improved.  All their hard work and dedication is paying off.

Looking at turn-overs, 14 is very acceptable for a team that has hovered around 20 per contest.  You can't ask for any better than 12 for 12 from the line.

While they entire team deserves recognition, I thought Brendan deserves the salute.  He's put together two really nice games back to back.

Early in the first half he accumulated 3 fouls.  But he kept his concentration and played aggressively until the final buzzer.

At the beginning of the second half, his inspired play led the Heels on a 17 - 4 run.  Defensively, he disrupted the Yellow Jackets with great hustle and totaled 3 blocks.  He's finally playing like the "wide body" he is.

The Heels seem to be peaking at just the right time.  This was a great tune-up for the upcoming game against Dook on Thursday.  Let's all pray for snow on Wednesday so the fat-cats will stay home.  And the Carolina students can once again fill the lower level.

Go Heels!

P.S.  The new uniforms suck!  Give me "North Carolina"!
