Raleigh __This game was closer than the final score. But a
win is a win, is a win, is a win. I'll take one any day.
A hat tip to Coach
Gut. Mid-way into the first half, he used the tradition
rich Blue team - 5 reserves
at one time. Now, if we can get the words North
Carolina back
on our jerseys!
First half Carolina
jumps out to a 7 point lead. They seem to be clicking on
all cylinders. Then it becomes a back and forth game with
Clemson closing the score to 2.
Cota hits a big three
for some momentum and a 5 point lead going into the locker room.
Second half starts off
with a Carolina
bucket. The Heels are shooting a better percentage from
the field and slowly build a 12 point lead. Cota is taking
charge of the team again and playing a more complete game.
Then their D becomes a
little slack and Clemson gets back into the game. Carolina
showed us something at this point. Instead of falling
apart and becoming hesitant, they stay cool and continue making
the plays when necessary.
With time winding down,
Clemson had to begin committing fouls. Carolina
took advantage of those opportunities to gain the comfortable
margin of victory.
I hate to speak too
soon, but the Heels seem ready to make a run in the second half
of the ACC season. At least they had a nice start today.
Go Heels!

Ram Man
P.S. The new uniforms suck!
Give me "North Carolina"!
