Raleigh __ Carolina
started out slow again and Virginia was running. Four
minutes into the game the Heels had battled back to a 8-8 tie.
Then it got
worse. With Virginia's quickness and pressure defense, the
Tar Heel turnovers began to add up. A quick, athletic team
still exposes a Carolina
weakness.
With about 4 minutes to
go in the half, the Blue Team made an appearance. They
held their own for the most part, but towards the end of their
stint Virginia was off and running again.
Down as much as 18
points, the Heels score the last 5 points of the half.
Down 46-33 going into the locker room, the Heels need to regroup
and make a strong run in the opening 5 minutes of the second
half.
Virginia started the
second half ice cold. Not being able to set their pressure
defense, the Heels chip into the lead getting it down to as
little as 6 points.
Who is this Friel?
Three treys in a row, he put the Wahoos up by 15 with 7 minutes
to go. That is the spark Virginia needed to regain control
of the game.
With 5:25 to go,
Virginia is up 18 and coasting to victory. There was
little to do but foul and Virginia made enough at the line to
seal the victory.
Nice
try Heels!!!
