It doesn't get much uglier than the game we saw today. But at the same time the Heels had some good play execution against top notch talent - both offensively and defensively. I feel like we'll see positive results from an experience like this game. What we can't forget is that we have a relative inexperienced quarterback in Ron Curry. The tailbacks and wide receivers are also young. The game today will have a lot of value if used properly. I expect the Heels to show what they learned today against Marshall next Saturday. The is still a very good team that will only get better with each game. Mike O'Cain did another nice job of calling the plays. As the young and experienced Tar Heels become more familiar with the play book and what's expected, the ball will be moving down the field against quality opposition. We saw glimpses of that today. This is the coaching staff I wish we'd had 3 years ago. We didn't. So now, I have no problem saying we should give them plenty of time to settle in and develop the football program. So Tar Heels, lick your wounds and get over it. Today was but one game. Look at the film and learn the lessons to be learned. Then forget today. Marshall is coming up next, and CarolinaFans want you to be ready! Go
Heels!
