Ram Man bumped into this spirited Carolina fan on the way to the North Gate at Kenan Stadium.

I like her hat so much that I asked if I could escort her to the gate.  There's something about a ram!

Team captains approach mid-field for the coin flip.  L-R, Sam Aiken #88,
Dexter Reid #24,  Michael Waddell #18, and Ronald Brewer #9.

Former Tar Heel football player Bill Arnold, who died in 1971 following heat-related complications after a preseason practice at Navy Field, was awarded a monogram letter posthumously in a pre-game ceremony at Saturday's Georgia Tech game.

The letter was presented to Bill's father and mother, William and Priscilla Arnold, by North Carolina athletic director Dick Baddour and head coach John Bunting.

This is a short story.  Mike Voight was walking past the shrubs by the field when I spotted him.  So I'm shouting, "Voight, Voight!"  He sees me and comes up to watch the first half with us.  He needed to be in the end zone by half-time to be honored for being named to the ACC 50th Anniversary Football Team.

Side notes:
... Space Cowboy always knew how to find the end zone.
... Mike gave me that white Carolina hat at the Miami game.  Said he was wearing one like it today.  What a guy!
... We all know what a track star he was during high school in Virginia.  I told him I ran high hurdles too and my time.  After a short pause he leaned over and said, "You know the difference between you and me.  I was there 3 seconds earlier."  You gotta love him!

Behind me on the goal line are the Carolina Athletes who were named to the various
ACC 50th Anniversary Teams.
